How Does The Auction Work?

Users Must Be Logged In To Bid

Bidding is in US Dollars. Bids should be entered without a comma. For example, to bid $50,000.00 you would simply enter 50000.

All bids are subject to the Auction Terms. Please read them carefully for complete rules and restrictions.

Once you register with an account, you can place bids. You can review your bids in your My Account Page.

At the bottom of the page for each auction horse, you can see details, review bids and send private messages to the auctioneer.

What is Proxy Bidding / Maximum Bid?

Proxy bidding refers basically to automatic type of bidding. In an auction, when you place a bid and another user outbids you, you need to again come back and bid higher in order to remain highest bidder. To avoid coming back, you can use automatic bidding which bids on behalf of you when someone outbids you. You can initially enter Maximum amount with which you are comfortable, then our software will bid the next lowest incremental bid on your behalf until that maximum amount is reached.

What Is A “Horse Race” Extended Bidding Closing Format?

Extended Bidding means that the auction is not declared closed until there have been 5 minutes of inactivity prior to the end of the auction. If there is any bidding during the inactivity period, the auction is extended until there is no bidding for 10 minutes during the inactivity period. You can always check the time remaining information that appears under each lot

All auctions will have a Soft Close to Avoid Sniping. If a bid is received within 5 minutes of scheduled auction end time, the auction will automatically be extended by 10 minutes. This process will repeat until their is no bid activity for 5 minutes before close.
