Cornetiero and Chacco Finish 1st & 3rd in FEI CSI3* Del Mar
Carly Anthony and Cornetiero
Carly Anthony aboard two of Neil Jones Equestrian, Inc. horses finished first and third among fifty-one rider/horse combinations at the the Surfside Grand Prix Qualifier in Del Mar.
“Cornetiero and Chacco are very different horses,” Anthony explained, “So how I rode the class is different for both. Today my plan was to go clear on both and then go as well as they could in the jump-off. I thought both rode spectacular today. I’ve had a bit more consistent results with Chacco lately. Cornetiero and I are just getting the hang of things, but he really rose to the occasion today; we’ve been putting in a lot of work. We’re still in the process of writing out the plan for the year, but we are doing two weeks of Temecula and then we plan to go to Colorado for the grand prix and then after that, we’ll go to the 2* at Showpark, and then we’re back to World Cup™ season! We’re trying to go more quality over quantity this year, last year we showed almost every week, but this year we want to showcase the great horses we have and going to great shows, too.”
